Constitution Radio: Keeping the Republic is a Team Sport
Someone asked me if I support Donald J. Trump as President of the United States. I replied, “Yes, but I am determined to keep a close eye on him.”
“But he knows nothing about the U.S. Constitution,” came the reply.
“He knows little about politics, which is a part of the reason people like him. He’s not a part of the system. As for knowing the Constitution, if we were to withdraw our support from any president who knew nothing about the Constitution, then since the year 1900 we would have supported only two presidents. You hold their feet to the fire, and you try to teach them. Keeping the republic is a team sport.”
