Born: November 22, 1744, Weymouth, Massachusetts.  Died: October 28, 1818, Quincy, Massachusetts.  First Lady of the U.S., 1797-1801.  Her letters are considered to serve as eyewitness accounts of the American Revolutionary War.  Closest advisor of President, and mother of President John Quincy Adams.  Abigail was so active in politics that her political opponents came to refer to her as Mrs. President.  She was the first First Lady to reside in the White House.
