Founding Generation
If your Founder is not listed on this page, check the Signers of America's Founding Documents page.  For women of the Founding Era go to the Women of American History page.

The following is a list of Founding Fathers who did not sign any of the four founding documents (Articles of Association, Articles of Confederation, Declaration of Independence, or Constitution).  A Founding Father, for this purpose, is defined as an individual who was positively involved in the founding of the United States as a new country, or the founding of the United States' System of Liberty.  This page is a work in progress, and is evolving every day.  If a Founding Father is not listed, or the name appears but has no link, both may be in process.  However, if you would like to make a suggestion that a person is added to this page, contact us on the CONTACT page.
